Glenorie Probus Club Activities

A very informative visit to Luddenham to view the new airport web site was held. We had been able to see the progress to date in addition to see plans for the completed airport and opening schedule.

Probus Day was celebrated in October with a picnic in Fagans Park It was an opportunity to understand some of the wonderful facilities we now have within the area and to have a really enjoyable and pleasant BBQ. November saw a visit to Cockatoo Island.

The guide took the members on the Lower Island Tour and defined some of the history of this space which has been used since the days of Governor Phillip for quite a lot of actions from convict prison to Naval restore base.

The monthly visitor audio system have covered a range of things of curiosity. A representative from Services NSW spoke in October to go through a few of the benefits obtainable to members in a variety of areas. In September we had a talk on the actions of Days for Girls.


The 12 months will end with a Christmas Lunch at Glenorie RSL. We look ahead to one other various and fascinating yr in 2024 with plans well under way for lots of exciting activities.

The Club meets on the at 11.00am on the 4th Wednesday of the month at Glenorie RSL and new members are welcome.
